The moment social media marketers have been waiting for is finally here – Instagram’s newest capability to switch between accounts without having to log in and log out every time, making multiple account management a breeze. You can now add up to 5 Instagram accounts and quickly switch between them, saving you valuable time in posting creative content for brands.
why is instagram’s account switcher so useful?
Whether you’re a freelancer working with several brands on their social media accounts or a blogger with a personal Instagram and a foodie account, Instagram has eliminated the tedious task of logging out every time you want to post from a different account. As long as you have app version 7.15 for iOS or Android, you’re able to take advantage of this new feature.

limitations and what’s next
I absolutely love this new feature! It’s made it easy for me to monitor several accounts that I’m working with, and I don’t have to keep up with all of my passwords every time I want to make a switch. I’m even able to post a picture on one account and immediately go like it from another.
For each account you add, you’re going to receive categorized push notifications for each, something that could become annoying, but push notifications can be turned on and off via profile settings for each account.
I’m waiting for Instagram to create a scheduling feature so I can schedule posts within the app like I can with Facebook without the use of third-party apps and websites, but until then, I’m pretty pleased with this update. Check it out, and let me know how it’s helping you strengthen your social media strategy!
